The National accessArts Centre will soon be redeveloping Scouts’ Hall into a hub for artists with disabilities. Trico Communities has provided a $500,000 multi-year sponsorship for the new facility, expected to open in late 2026 or early 2027. It will include exhibition, performance, and studio spaces as well as training and workshop areas.

The provincial government is increasing funding to the Alberta Foundation for the Arts by $4.5M annually for the next three years. The funds will provide grants to artists and arts organizations. The increase means the foundation will be able to raise its maximum grant amount for individuals from $15,000 to $18,000.
The NWT government is accepting funding proposal applications for small and medium art projects until February 28. New artists can receive up to $5,000 through the Small Arts Project Grant for materials, studio fees, and other costs. While established artists can receive between $5,000 and $10,000 for similar costs on a larger scale through the Medium Arts Project Grant.
