*ABOUT WORLDWIDE SECURITY LTD.* Worldwide Security Ltd. (WWS) is a family-owned security technology and communications solutions provider based in Mississauga, ON. With over 30 years of operational experience, WWS has provided customized mission critical equipment and manufactured turn-key systems in nuclear, heavy industrial, government, health care, and other mission critical sectors. *OPEN POSITION* WWS is currently seeking an in-house Machinist to support our production department. *POSITION SUMMARY* The Machinist is primarily responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining VMC CNC machine while ensuring production efficiency, accuracy, quality in manufacturing processes, and adhering to technical specifications and safety standards. *DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES* The Machinist responsibilities include:· * Review blueprints, mechanical drawings, and processes to understand specifications * Translate readings into dimensions for production * Program set-up and operation of VMC CNC * Prepare test run to ensure product output to specification * Monitor machine performance and adjust as required * Inspect and measure finished product * Liaise with project engineer and project manager as required * Maintain equipment and ensure clean and safe workspace * Follow all safety regulations and PPE requirement * Other duties as assigned *QUALIFICATIONS AND KEY COMPETENCIES* * Proven experience as a VMC CNC operator or similar roles in a manufacturing environment. * High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in machining technology preferred. * Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints. * Strong understanding of CNC programming. * Attention to detail and commitment to quality. * Good problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive tasks *SKILLS - *CNC programming, machining, blueprint reading, precision measuring instruments, troubleshooting, equipment maintenance Job Types: Casual, Freelance Pay: $26.00-$45.00 per hour Expected hours: 1 ? 30 per week Schedule: * Monday to Friday Work Location: In person- LocationMississauga, ON
