Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Relocation costs covered by employer. Manufacture. Tasks: Operate and set up machines to perform repetitive machining operations. Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers). Enter codes specifying speed, feed and cut of the toolpath for computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools. Clean and maintain work space. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Machinist Trade Certification. Equipment and machinery experience: Cylinder grinder. Engine lathes. Milling machines. Tool grinders. Area of work experience: Fabrication. Repetitive machining operation experience: Turning. Milling. Honing. Broaching. Drilling. Grinding. Equipment: Single purpose production machine. Automatic lathes. Security and safety: Bondable. Medical exam. Criminal record check. Transportation/travel information: Public transportation is available.
