COMPANY/CLIENT: Puglisevich on behalf of Floatel International (FI)BUSINESS ADDRESS: 611 Torbay Road, St. John's, NL A1A 5J1CONTACT: careers@puglisevich.comREPORTS TO: Engineer on DutyDEPARTMENT:SUPERVISES: N/ASALARY RANGE: $100,000.00 - $106,000.00 CADLOCATION: Offshore Newfoundland, CanadaTYPE OF RIG: Floatel Endurance; Semi-Submersible Accommodation and Construction Support Vessel (ASV)ROTATION: 28/28TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Contract, Full TimeCONTRACT: Short Term Contract; Estimate Six and Half (6.5) MonthsNUMBER OF POSITIONS: One (1)JOB SUMMARY: The role of the Repairman II is to carry out all tasks and duties as directed by the First Engineer or their nominee thereby enabling the Engine Department to operate in a safe and efficient manner.PRE-REQUISITES/QUALIFICATIONS:High School Diploma or EquivalentCanadian Engine Room Rating or STCW III/4 EquivalentGeneral Knowledge of Welding1 Year Experience as a Repairman or Similar Position1 Year Offshore ExperienceGood verbal and written communication skills in EnglishMust pass Physical, Drug Screen and Background/Pre-Employment Screening ChecksDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:The Repairman II is to ensure that all their tasks and duties are carried out in a safe and efficient manner using relevant safety equipment.They are to ensure that a valid Work Permit is in force for work requiring such a Permit.The Repairman II is responsible for reporting any malfunction of any of any equipment to the Engineer on watch. Duties in the accommodation could be carried out if required.The Repairman II shall, if the nature of the work in question makes it necessary, report the need for assistance tot the First Engineer. They shall, to the extent that time permits, participate in the general maintenance of the Vessel as directed by the First Engineer.The Repairman II shall assist in maintaining control of spare parts and stores, they should advise the First Engineer of stock levels and other requirements as necessary.To be a part of the category management program if requiredThe responsibilities also include reporting as required by the FIMSThey are to follow the ISPS tasks given from the SSO.Other Duties as AssignedThe above is intended as a summary of the key requirements for the position and is not intended to be complete list of all duties and responsibilities.It is the objective of Floatel International to ensure employment equity within the workplace.
