*About us* Designer Blooms a prestigious, global flower company looking for an experienced floral designer to be an addition to a growing team. Our designs are thoughtfully created with only the best quality products, focusing on contemporary and modern designs. We are predominantly an online flower retailer and we will be opening our first retail space in Railtown in March. We strive to deliver elevated designs consistently across Greater Vancouver and the rest of North America. *Job Summary* As a Floral Designer, you will be responsible for creating stunning floral arrangements for various occasions such as birthdays, weddings, events, and everyday celebrations. Your creativity, attention to detail and speed will play a key role in providing customers with beautiful floral designs that they have ordered through our website and our retail space. We are looking for both part time and full time florists to join our team. *Daily Duties* - Create floral arrangements across the local seasons based on recipes and designs on our website - Assist customers over the phone, email or social media with their orders and delivery updates - Maintain and process inventory of fresh flowers, plants, and floral supplies - Keep work area clean and organized - Process customer orders accurately and efficiently across multiple channels including the website, phone and social media - Provide exceptional customer service to ensure customer satisfaction - Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals *Skills* *Must haves:* * Good knowledge and understanding of flower care and preparation * We require seasoned florists with a minimum of 3 years experience in fresh and dried florals * Excellent sense of design, color theory and floral trends * Able to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis * Fluent in spoken and written English * Organized and operate in a cleanly manner * Strong customer service skills face-to-face and across multiple touch points including the phone, email and social media * Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously * Can produce up to 40 bouquets a day * You'll ideally be able to commute to our Studio located in Railtown and have flexibility to work weekdays and/or weekends. * Has a valid passport and Canadian work visa *Nice to have:* * Skilled in computer applications, specifically using Shopify and/or Google Suite (sheets, notes, etc.) * Familiar with procuring and sourcing flowers through wholesalers * Proficient in flower costing and inventory management * Ability to operate SLR cameras and mobile cameras is a plus If you'd like to be part of our dynamic, creative and hard-working team, apply today.
