Job details
Education: College/CEGEP. Work setting: Commercial dental laboratory. Tasks: Design dental devices. Fabricate and repair crowns, bridges or implants. Modify dental devices including full or partial dentures, orthodontic appliances, inlays, onlays, clasps and bands. Prepare plaster models and moulds. Mould wax over dentures set-up. Prepare wax bite-blocks and impression trays. Pack plastic material in moulds to form full or partial dentures. Technical expertise (dental): Plastering. Area of specialization: Crowns and bridges. Ceramic or porcelain application. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Repetitive tasks. Manual dexterity. Attention to detail. Sitting. Hand-eye co-ordination. Screening questions: Are you available for the advertised start date?. Are you currently legally able to work in Canada?.
