Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: Noisy. Work setting: Manufacture. Tasks: Operate and set up machines to perform repetitive machining operations. Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers). Prepare etching solution and immerse metal parts or workpiece into the etching solution to remove unwanted portions. Perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery. Enter codes specifying speed, feed and cut of the toolpath for computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools. Clean and maintain work space. Equipment and machinery experience: Boring machines. Cylinder grinder. Drilling machine. Filing machines. Milling machines. Planers. Shapers. Tool grinders. Welding. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Manual dexterity. Attention to detail. Overtime required. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Personal suitability: Reliability. Ability to multitask. Experience: 1 to less than 7 months. Support for youths: Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth. Support for Indigenous people: Facilitates access to Elders who can offer support and guidance to Indigenous workers .- LocationConcord, ON
