The Marine Atlantic Annual Review of Activities was presented on December 17 in St. John’s. Goods carriers are calling for improved service to limit cargo delays in Newfoundland given that ferry cancellations were costly to them in 2024. Goods carriers state that between June and September, 95% of deliveries arrived late. Each time that a ferry route was cancelled, they paid between $350 to $400 per day for each truck.

Metrobus in St. John's has seen ridership increase by 35% in 2023 over 2022 and will return to its fuller fall schedule with an increase in its bus fleet.
