<p><u><strong>THE OPPORTUNITY:</strong></u></p><p>The Human Resources Manager provides strategic and operational leadership in the delivery of human resource services across the organization. Reporting to the Executive Director, this role is responsible for supporting all aspects of HR including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, policy development, and organizational development. </p><p>This role collaborates closely with the Executive Director and leadership team to align HR practices with organizational goals and to promote a healthy, respectful, and inclusive workplace. The ideal candidate is a seasoned HR professional with strong judgement, discretion, and the ability to build trust across all levels of the organization, bringing both strategic insight and practical HR expertise to support a high-performing and engaged workforce.</p><p><u><strong>A DAY IN THE LIFE ? ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></u></p><ul><li>Providing strategic HR advice and guidance to the Executive Director and leadership team</li><li>Leading full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies</li><li>Managing employee and labour relations, including conflict resolution and workplace investigations</li><li>Overseeing compensation, benefits administration, and HR policy development</li><li>Ensuring compliance with applicable employment legislation, WSBC regulations and organizational policies</li><li>Providing leadership and coordination support to the Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee</li><li>Supporting performance management processes, including coaching managers and facilitating performance reviews</li><li>Developing and implementing HR programs that support organizational culture and employee engagement</li><li>Maintaining and improving HR systems, records, and reporting</li><li>Leading organizational change initiatives and workforce planning activities</li><li>Promoting a safe, respectful, and inclusive workplace environment</li><li>Additional duties as assigned</li></ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Minimum of 8 years of progressive human resources experience</li><li>Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field</li><li>CPHR designation (or working toward designation) considered an asset</li><li>Strong knowledge of employment standards and labour legislation</li><li>Proven experience in employee relations, recruitment, and HR policy development</li><li>Demonstrated ability to work closely with senior leadership and provide strategic HR advice</li><li>Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills</li><li>High level of discretion and ability to manage sensitive and confidential information</li></ul><p><u><strong>PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS: </strong></u></p><ul><li>Valid Class 5 BC Driver?s License and access to a reliable vehicle.</li><li>Ability to travel within the Kamloops service area as required.</li><li>Successful completion of a Criminal Record Check (vulnerable sector).</li></ul><p><u><strong>WORKING SCHEDULE:</strong></u></p><ul><li>In person a minimum of two (2) days per week at the Palm Street Office</li><li>Hours: 8:30am to 4:30pm</li><li>Must be available virtually up to two (2) days per week for up to 14 hours a week</li></ul><p></p><p><em><strong>Preference will be given to applicants of Aboriginal ancestry as per section 41 of the BC Human Rights Code (please self-identify in your cover letter).</strong></em></p>- Location Kamloops, BC
