*Delivery Driver & Operations Assistant Job Overview* We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and physically fit *Delivery Driver & Operations Assistant* to join our team. This is a hands-on position that combines driving with packing, inventory management, and operational support. The role is *4 days per week*, with the opportunity to work a *5th day* for candidates who are handy and willing to assist with additional daily tasks around the business. *Please note:* This is a physically demanding job. Drivers are responsible for loading and unloading their own vehicle, moving products throughout the day, and handling frequent heavy lifting. *Key Responsibilities* * Safely deliver bakery products, catering orders, and customer orders to various locations. * *Load and unload the delivery van independently*, including large and heavy orders. * Pack and prepare deliveries, ensuring all items are accurate and secure for transport. * Check inventory levels and restock packaging materials and supplies as needed. * Manage internal transfers and deliveries between locations. * Verify orders before departure and upon delivery. * Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance concerns. * Keep storage, delivery, and loading areas clean and organized. * Assist with general operational tasks as needed. * Candidates working a 5-day schedule may also assist with basic maintenance, repairs, or other hands-on projects. *Physical Requirements* This position requires regular physical work, including: * Frequent lifting and carrying of *up to 50 lbs (23 kg)*, with occasional heavier team lifts. * Repeated loading and unloading of the delivery van throughout the day. * Standing, walking, bending, pushing, and pulling for extended periods. * Comfortable working in various weather conditions while making deliveries. * Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment where physical activity is a major part of the job. *Qualifications* * Valid driver?s license with a clean driving record. * Dependable and punctual with strong time-management skills. * Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities. * Comfortable working independently and taking initiative. * Strong communication and customer service skills. * Previous delivery experience is an asset but not required. * Basic mechanical or handyman skills are considered an advantage for candidates interested in the optional 5th workday. *Schedule* * *4 days per week* * Option to expand to *5 days per week* for candidates interested in additional operational and maintenance responsibilities. *Who Will Thrive in This Role?* We?re looking for someone who enjoys staying active, doesn?t mind physical work, and takes pride in getting the job done right.
