Our Finance team at rcs construction is growing, and we're looking for a Director of Finance to join us in our Bedford office. If you're motivated by teamwork, hands?on leadership, and being part of a company that values people and performance, this role could be the perfect fit.The Director of Finance provides strategic leadership over all financial operations for rcs construction and Tier Too Properties, while maintaining close alignment with other Doucet Development companies and partnerships. This role is accountable for ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, compliance with all regulatory and legal standards, and delivering timely, actionable insights that support sound business decisions.As a key advisor to executive leadership, the Director of Finance will oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and risk management while strengthening internal controls and supporting long-term sustainability, growth, and capital investment decision making.How you'll spend your day: Overall accountability for the rcs financial strategy including budgeting, forecasting, and analytics.ERP optimization to support growth, decision?making, and regulatory compliance.Provide disciplined oversight of capital investments, ROI analysis, financing relationships, and long?term capital planning in conjunction with Tier Too Properties and other related Doucet Development companies.Oversee accurate, timely multi?entity financial reporting, month?end and year?end close, KPI frameworks, and audit relationships in alignment with GAAP and regulatory requirements.Manage cash flow, financial risk, insurance, bonding, and legal finance?related matters, including liens, claims, and disputes.Accountable for the payment and collection process including involvement in complex situations as required.Partner closely with operations and project teams on job costing, profitability, procurement, contract negotiations, and financial controls, actively participating in leadership, operational, and production meetings.Collaborate with IT and Technology leaders to optimise core systems, enable system enhancements, and strengthen data?driven leadership and reporting discipline.Lead, mentor, and develop a high?performing finance team while standardising financial practices and supporting strategic initiatives across the organization.Serve as the primary finance partner to ownership, senior leadership, banks, bonding agents, and external stakeholders, delivering clear, actionable financial insight.What will help you thrive: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA designation required.10 years of progressive financial leadership experience, ideally within construction, real estate or a related project?based industry.Demonstrated experience leading finance teams and driving cross?functional initiatives.Strong expertise in construction accounting, job costing, and multi?entity financial management.Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modelling.Experience working with ERP systems and financial software; system implementation or optimization experience is considered an asset.Exceptional leadership, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex financial information into clear, actionable insights.Proven ability to thrive in fast?paced, hands?on environments and adapt to changing priorities.Curious, business?minded, and motivated by process improvement and scalable growth.Collaborative partner to operations, comfortable working closely with the field and project teams.Why you'll love it here: Our Team: Genuine, down-to-earth people who care about each other and the work they doOur Leadership: Approachable and appreciative, with a true open-door philosophy and a commitment to supporting every team memberSummer hoursChristmas on Us: We clos- Location Bedford, NS
