*Job Overview* We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate therapist for children, adolescents and young adults to join our team. The ideal candidate MUST be registered with the MCSW. A valid MB drivers Licence is required as well as access to a vehicle. Please ONLY apply if you are registered with the MCSW. In this role, you will play a crucial part in counselling, guiding and supporting young individuals as they navigate personal and academic challenges. Your primary focus will be to educate, inspire, and empower clients to reach their full potential through positive mentorship and engagement while exploring various activities in the community. Hours include weekdays after school and weekends, depending on client availability. The service will be delivered outside the counselling office and while engaging in activities in the community. *Responsibilities* * Provide individualized counselling tailored to the needs and interests of each client with the goal of increasing self-esteem, demonstrating positive and healthy relationships, fostering independence and effective communication skills. * Create a safe, non-judgmental, and supportive space for clients. * Engage with clients through various activities while delivering counselling services. * Collaborate with parents and/or caregivers (when appropriated) , as well as with the clients' support system, to evaluate, assess, and coordinate services and provide the best service possible. * Implementing a collaborative approach designed to provide the client and their families with consistency and focus on their individual goals. * Maintain accurate records of interactions and progress for reporting purposes. *Experience* * Previous experience working with clients in an educational and or therapeutical environment is required. * Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with clients from diverse backgrounds. * A passion for counselling and a commitment to making a positive impact in the lives individuals. * Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. * Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
