Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Outdoors. Noisy. Dusty. Work setting: Room and board provided. Rural area. Construction site. Farm. Tasks: Load, unload and transport construction materials. Read blueprints to determine work requirements . Mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt. Assist in framing houses, erecting walls and building roofs. Level earth to fine grade specifications. Pave and rake asphalt. Assist in demolishing buildings. Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites. Direct traffic at or near construction sites. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure. Physically demanding. Repetitive tasks. Handling heavy loads. Attention to detail. Weight handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs). Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Hard hat.
