As the Social Worker, you?ll serve as a part of the multidisciplinary care team, advocating for residents and assessing their psychosocial needs to enhance their well-being. *About The Role* Your comprehensive role will be integral to addressing the psychosocial needs of residents, ensuring their well-being, and fostering a supportive environment. *Key Responsibilities:* * Lead and oversee both team and program operations, including health and safety initiatives. * Model the Wellness Model of Care and inspire the team to follow best practices. * Lead resident care conferences and facilitate end-of-service planning. * Provide crisis intervention and debriefing for residents, their loved ones, and team members. * Offer adjustment counseling and assess eligibility for financial or material assistance. * Collaborate with the care team to develop personalized service plans. * Lead support groups, advocate for legislative programs, and revise policies as needed. * Build and maintain strong relationships with residents, team members, and external agencies. * Manage bed matching and oversee continuous quality improvement initiatives. * Maintain a private pay waitlist and ensure efficient resident placement. * Identify and address unsafe situations, promoting secure work practices and a safe environment. Situated on Taylor Way and Inglewood Avenue, our Inglewood community is just moments away from Ambleside Park, Capilano Park, and Capilano River Regional Park. *Requirements* * Minimum bachelor's degree in social work. Master of Social Work preferred. * Current registration in good standing with the British Columbia College of Social Workers (BCCSW). * Minimum of one year of experience providing services to seniors, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. *About You* As the Social Worker, you bring positivity and compassion, fostering a joyful and supportive environment for team members and residents.
