Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: Cold/refrigerated. Odours. Noisy. Work setting: Fish plant. Meat processing and/or packing plant/establishment. Rural area. Rural or isolated. Tasks: Minimize hazards at all stages of the food production process. Train staff/workers in job duties, safety procedures and company policies. Prepare production and other reports. Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule (and possibly review) activities of workers. Establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other work units. Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures. Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food. Supervise staff or team. Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect defects. Food safety/handling skills. Direct quality control inspections. Conduct quality control. Maintain laboratory equipment. Develop quality management and quality assurance standards. Conduct quality audits . Computer and technology knowledge: HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) knowledge. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Ability to work independently. Fast-paced environment.
