Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Viticulture. Dusty. Hot. Outdoors. Tree and orchard fruit. Harvest crops. Vineyard. Work setting: Rural area. Tasks: Guide growing shoots into optimal development positions. Maintain and manage growth of vines, vine canopy and grapes. Mixing fertilizer. Remove manually all suckers and water sprouts. Soil fertility programs. Tie and secure plants. Train trees to produce more fruit of higher quality. Weeding. Provide agricultural crop services such as plowing, irrigating, cultivating, spraying or harvesting. Co-ordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers. Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed. Supervise and oversee growing and other crop-related operations. Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment. Perform general farm duties. Maintain farm machinery, equipment and buildings. Budding trees. Cut horticultural crops. Clear fields of wood and stones. Supervision: 11-15 people. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Pesticide Applicator's Licence. Type of crops: Apples. Grapes. Equipment and machinery experience: Sprayer or duster. Tractor. Area of specialization: Agricultural crop service. Security and safety: Driver's validity licence check. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Valid driver's licence.
