*Job Summary* Wheaton Buick GMC Ltd in Kamloops is seeking a skilled Autobody Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and be capable of performing high-quality bodywork on vehicles. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. As an Auto Body Technician, you will play a crucial role in restoring vehicles to their pre-accident condition, ensuring customer satisfaction and safety. This is an excellent opportunity to relocate to the beautiful Thompson-Okanagan area. Fishing, skiing, hiking, mountain biking, surrounded by lakes*.* *Duties* * Perform repairs on damaged vehicle bodies and frames using appropriate techniques and tools. * Assess vehicle damage and determine necessary repairs, including structural and non-structural work. * Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for tasks such as welding, sanding, and painting. * Replace or repair body panels, bumpers, and other components as needed. * Conduct thorough inspections of completed work to ensure quality standards are met. * Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote safety and efficiency. * Collaborate with other technicians and staff to ensure timely completion of projects. *Skills* * Proficient in mechanic skills with a solid understanding of automotive repair processes. * Experience with hand tools and power tools commonly used in auto body work. * Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during the repair process. * Previous experience working in a dealership or similar automotive environment is required * Strong mechanical knowledge with the capability to troubleshoot various vehicle issues effectively. * Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workmanship. * Familiarity with ICBC collision network an asset * Red Seal certification required * Valid drivers license Join our team as an Auto Body Technician where your expertise will contribute significantly to our mission of delivering exceptional service and quality repairs to our valued customers.
