The AZ Driver, under the direction of the Logistics and Shipping Supervisor, will primarily be responsible for the timely delivery of pet products and accessories to our retail store partners. The AZ Driver will provide a high level of customer service to our customers and will comply with applicable legislation, including safe operation, carriage of goods, drivers' logbook completion, and occupational health and safety requirements. The incumbent will maintain communication with the company via cell phone, to receive information, updates, as required. This role will also be responsible for inspecting and following maintenance for their trucks and other equipment and ensure it is safe to operate according to Ontario law. The Driver must possess demonstrated knowledge of Canadian driving rules and regulations as well as a valid AZ truck driver's licence with a clean driving abstract. *Duties and Responsibilities* * Comply with applicable legislation, including safe operation, carriage of goods, drivers' hours of service, occupational health and safety, transportation of goods * Operate all company equipment needed to communicate with company ie. cell phone, to receive information, updates, etc. * Inspect the equipment and ensure the equipment is safe to operate according to Ontario law * Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles to the Logistics and Shipping Supervisor immediately * Maintain accurate and complete paperwork, up to date and filled out completely * Check all load-related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate and is submitted to the required company stakeholders ie. returns, credits, cash payments, etc. * Deliver pet products to retail stores in a safe manner * Service customers in a polite and courteous manner * Ensure regular maintenance of the vehicle *Qualifications* * Demonstrated knowledge of Canadian driving rules and regulations * AZ truck driver's license with a clean driving abstract * High level of integrity and work ethic, demonstrating a ?do whatever it takes? attitude * Demonstrated time management skills * Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing * High school diploma or GED certification *Key Competencies* * Commitment to Health and Safety * Strong customer service orientation * Communication * Time Management * Accountability * Attention to detail *Working Conditions* * Regular overtime * Extended time sitting in vehicle * Overnight travel required (one trip per week to Sault Ste.
