Bridge to Care is a Not-for-Profit Healthcare Organization that provides services to families who have children/young adults with special needs throughout Alberta, Canada.
As a Facility Maintenance Manager, you will oversee multiple tasks related to the maintenance, repair and daily functioning of various Bridge to Care facilities. These tasks can include but are not limited to things such as weekly house inspections, set up of new facilities in accordance to CAC and Child and Family Services standards, monitoring of snow removal and lawn maintenance, acquiring new facilities as requested by the CEO, monitoring of documentation including vehicle logs and fleet card usuages, insurance documents etc. In this position, you report to your direct supervisor, the CEO of Bridge to Care.
*Job Duties:*
* Weekly inspections of all local Bridge to Care facilities
* Monitoring Snow removal and lawn maintenance
* Monitoring usage of utilities (online) - Gas, Electricity, Garage, Water, Sewage, Internet Phone etc.
* OH&S documentation
* Follow-up on Internal Damage Reports
* Virtual inspections of all out facilities as arranged by supervisors
* Monitoring and upkeep of vehicle logs and fleet card usages and vehicle insurances
* Maintenance/ upkeep of company aquariums
* Locating and acquiring new facilities/homes that meet required standards as needed and approved by the CEO
* Set up of new facilities/homes in accordance to Accreditation and Child and Family Service Standards
* HandyMan duties such as small repairs within the facilities/homes.
* Possible transportation duties
* Attend regular management team meetings
* Maintenance of company owned vehicles - scheduled oil changes, tire rotations, general upkeep requirements etc.
* Monitoring of household task completion by front line staff - daily chores, garbage removal, fire drills etc
*Requirements and Skills:*
* Compassion, honestly and integrity
* Must have a valid Class 5 Drivers License and access to a reliable personal vehicle
* Decision making skills
* Ability to prioritize tasks
* Experience and knowledge of basic maintenance repairs
* Attention to detail while completing internal and external documentation
* High level of both written and verbal communication skills
* Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector - within the last 6 months
* Clear Child Intervention Check - within the last 6 months.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 ? 30 per week
