*Job Description*
Reporting to the plant manager, your duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Responsible for the safe operations of the refrigeration plant
* Maintain and operate ammonia and Freon refrigeration systems, HVAC, compressed air systems, water treatment, auxiliaries and distribution systems, and maintenance around the plant.
* Perform repairs and general maintenance duties associated with the refrigeration and boiler systems and report anomalies to the plant manager.
* Troubleshoot mechanical breakdown relating to the utilities to ensure minimal impact to production
* Complete routine inspection and testing of equipment and infrastructure, including check and tests for leaks, to ensure proper operations
* Document readings on plant equipment including boilers, water, and gas consumption, monitor and record flow rates, pressures and temperatures within specific temperature parameters.
* Maintain a safe and clean work environment by ensuring the facility is operating in compliance with the Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA)
* Complete work orders and apply corrective measures in a timely manner
* Assist maintenance team with repairs and preventative maintenance tasks
* Reporting to Chief Refrigeration Operator/Maintenance Coordinator
* Ability to work in noisy conditions, in a cold environment and occasionally from heights
* Perform other maintenance and repair tasks as required.
*Requirements*
* High School Diploma
* Ontario Fourth-class Power Engineer Certification
* Strong mechanical aptitude
* Experience within a TSSA-regulated ammonia facility
* Knowledge and experience on Ammonia Refrigeration Systems
* Must be able to read and understand blue prints
* 5 years of experience working in Cold Warehouse
* Computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
