*Overview*
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and practices, with expertise in accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and financial reporting. This role requires a proactive individual who can manage multiple priorities and contribute to the overall financial health of the organization.
*Duties*
* Prepare personal tax returns of varying complexity.
* Oversee and manage the full cycle of accounts receivable and accounts payable processes.
* Prepare and process payroll accurately and on time.
* Utilize accounting software, including Sage and QuickBooks, for financial reporting and analysis.
* Assist in budgeting processes by providing accurate financial forecasts and analysis.
* Perform account reconciliation to maintain accurate financial records.
* Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights that support business decisions.
* Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for management review.
* Mentor junior accounting staff and provide guidance on best practices.
*Requirements*
* Bachelor?s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification is preferred.
* Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role within an accounting department.
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
* Proficiency in accounting software such as PeopleSoft and QuickBooks.
* Experience with financial auditing, budgeting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll processing, and account reconciliation.
* Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
* Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
* Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
