*Job Description ? Restoration Technician* *About Stutters* Stutters Restorations is a full-service restoration contractor specializing in insurance repair. Stutters was started as a small family business over 40 years ago and has grown to 6 offices throughout the south-central Interior of BC. Stutters has successfully completed every kind of restoration work imaginable; hospitals, schools, stores, restaurants, factories, libraries, laboratories, barns, apartment complexes, and private homes. At Stutters, we place an emphasis on our employees? happiness, job satisfaction and success, and pride ourselves on our collaborative company culture. *Summary* Typically the first person onsite, you become the face of the organization during a time of need. Attending to these emergency situations you proactively limit damage and mitigate loss following IICRC protocols. *Core Competencies* * Competent verbal and written communication skills. * Knowledge of restoration principals, IICRC, The Clean Trust, and other industry remediation protocol?s. * Provide customer service in a time of need. * Able to multi task and assess priority in difficult situations. *Job Duties* * Use acceptable IICRC practices in all aspects of structural drying * Ability to assess and implement procedures that will expedite the drying process. * Working knowledge of mediation equipment operation and placement. * Manages onsite emergency response activities, including pumping water, clearing carpet, removing drywall, mitigation, etc. * Sets up deodorization, negative air, ozone, thermo-fogging and related equipment on site. * Responsible for the monitoring of temperature, humidity, and GPP readings. * Upload detailed water sheets from the site daily. * Completes and submits timesheets for all jobs. * Ensures all health and safety protocols are being implemented and followed. * Assists with content handling, pack out, and documentation following company procedures as required. *Requirements* * Previous restorations experience an asset. * IICRC or equivalent certification in Water Damage Restoration preferred * Certification or experience in Abatement an asset * Valid driver?s license - a MUST * Bondable * Able to work on a on-call schedule * Ability to work in a team environment. *Working Conditions* * Ability to drive and visit projects covering a vast geographical area. * Able to lift at least 50 lbs. * Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals. * On call rotation *Job Types:* Full-time, Permanent *Salary:* $25.00-$29.00 per hour *Benefits:* * Casual dress * Dental care * Extended health care * Life insurance * On-site parking * Paid time off * Vision care * Employee and Family Assistance Plan * Positive Company Culture and Events * Opportunity for training/development and advancement *Schedule:* * 8 hour shift *Supplemental pay types:* * Overtime pay *Experience:* * Water Damage Restoration Technician Certificate: 1 year (preferred) * Restoration: 1 year (preferred) #urgentjobs Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $25.00-$29.00 per hour Additional pay: * Overtime pay Benefits: * Casual dress * Company events * Dental care * Employee assistance program * Extended health care * Life insurance * Paid time off * Tuition reimbursement * Vision care Flexible language requirement: * French not required Schedule: * 8 hour shift * Monday to Friday * On call * Overtime Application question(s): * Do you have a valid BC Driver's license?
