*Overview*
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Sinhalese-speaking Social Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing support and resources to individuals and families, particularly focusing on children in need of assistance. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, case management, and patient care, especially within hospital settings. The Social Worker will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for pediatric patients.
*Duties*
* Conduct assessments to determine the needs of patients and their families.
* Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient assessments.
* Provide counseling and support to children and families facing various challenges.
* Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate patient care and services.
* Maintain accurate records of patient interactions, data collection, and case management activities.
* Advocate for patients' rights and access to necessary services.
* Engage in research activities related to social work practices in pediatrics and special education.
* Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and care strategies.
*Qualifications*
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work or related field.
* Must know Sinhalese and English Fluently.
* Knowledge of medical terminology is essential.
* Experience in case management, particularly in pediatric settings, is preferred.
* Familiarity with hospital environments and patient care protocols.
* Previous experience working with children is highly desirable.
* Strong skills in data collection and research methodologies.
* Understanding of special education processes and resources available for children with disabilities.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
