Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Manager to oversee our restaurant operations. The General Manager will be responsible for ensuring the overall success of the restaurant by managing daily operations, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of food quality and safety.
Duties:
- Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, including staff management, inventory control, and financial performance
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales targets and maximize profitability
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
- Train and mentor staff on customer service, food preparation, and restaurant policies
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional and timely manner
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to develop and update menu offerings based on customer preferences and market trends
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure cost-effective purchasing of supplies and ingredients
- Monitor employee performance, provide feedback, and implement corrective actions as necessary
- Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate goals, policies, and procedures
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Proficient in using point-of-sale (POS) systems for order processing and inventory management
- Proven experience in restaurant management, including staff supervision, scheduling, and training
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating a positive dining experience
- Exceptional leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team
- Solid understanding of financial management principles, including budgeting, cost control, and profit optimization
- Knowledge of the hospitality industry trends and best practices
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures and ability to reconcile daily sales reports accurately
- Experience working in a kitchen or as a cook is preferred but not required
