Education: College/CEGEP. Social work, other. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Socio-economic needs or conditions (housing, nutrition, unemployment, financial assistance). Services for the homeless. Work setting: Community service organization. Various locations. Tasks: Interview client individually, in families, or in groups, to assess their situation and problems to determine the types of services required . Provide mediation services. Perform administrative tasks. Plan programs of assistance for clients. Refer clients to agencies that provide financial assistance, legal aid, housing, medical treatment and other services. Monitor and evaluate. Target audience: Adults. Social assistance recipient. Family. Social work specialization: Socio-economic needs or conditions. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Own vehicle. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Large caseload. Personal suitability: Client focus. Dependability.
