*Turner Stacey Fire Protection has an immediate opening for an * *experienced full-time Red Seal Sprinkler Fitter* Turner Stacey Fire Protection is a locally owned and managed full-service sprinkler company providing sprinkler services to many of the largest commercial buildings in the HRM area. Turner Stacey performs office and tenant fit-ups; testing and inspection of sprinkler systems, fire hydrants, and fire pumps; and 24/7 on-call service with a focus on exceptional customer service. Responsibilities: - Renovations, repairs, and service to all types of sprinkler systems - Prepare and fabricate piping for sprinkler systems - Weekend on-call service work on a rotating schedule - Perform inspections of sprinkler systems Requirements: - Red Seal certification - 5 years+ experience working on sprinkler systems - Valid driver?s license - WHMIS 2015, First Aid, Lift, Fall Arrest, and Confined Space certificates - Completion of the ?Inspection, Testing & Maintenance of Water Based Fire Protection Systems? would be considerable an asset - Experience in testing backflow prevention devices, fire pumps, and fire hydrants an asset - Good work ethic, professional attitude, and ability to interact with customers in a positive manner - Residency in HRM preferred due to on-call service - Must be able to lift 75lbs - Turner Stacey sprinkler fitters are members of Local 56 of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union. If you are not a member you must be willing to become a member Work Remotely * No Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: Up to $42.54 per hour Expected hours: 35 ? 40 per week Additional pay: * Overtime pay Flexible language requirement: * French not required Schedule: * 8 hour shift * Day shift * Monday to Friday * On call * Weekends as needed Licence/Certification: * Red Seal Sprinkler Fitter (required) Work Location: On the road- LocationHalifax, NS
