Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: Outdoors. Work setting: Courier company. Remote location. Urban area. Tasks: Deliver and pick up messages, parcels, and other items by hand. Receive and relay information to central dispatch. Assemble, install and set-up merchandise/products. Sort packages for delivery. Follow directions and read map. Use maps and other trip planning aids. Record trip information such as vehicle mileage, fuel costs and any problems. Perform administrative tasks. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks and other 2-axle vehicles). Transportation/travel experience: Local. Specialization or experience: Specialized environmental skills and knowledge. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure. Physically demanding. Handling heavy loads. Walking. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Cellular phone. Personal suitability: Organized. Team player. Dependability. Excellent oral communication. Screening questions: Are you currently legally able to work in Canada?.
