Education: Bachelor's degree. Work setting: Consulting engineering company. Tasks: Conduct geological programs for data acquisition, analysis and mapping. Prepare recommendations and reports for the construction or improvement of civil engineering projects. Design, develop and implement computer applications for geophysics, geochemistry, geology and mapping. Serve as a member of an interdisciplinary team of professionals working with a client group. Proposal preparation. Conduct site visits to gather relevant information . Supervision: 3-4 people. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association. Eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association. Computer and technology knowledge: AutoCAD. MS Excel. MS Outlook. MS PowerPoint. MS Word. Area of work experience: Design. Evaluate work environments, programs and procedures to control, eliminate, and prevent disease or injury. Project management. Project planning. Area of specialization: Geotechnical. Transportation/travel information: Willing to travel. Travel expenses paid by employer. Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure.
