*Role Overview*:
The Business Development Manager will play a pivotal role in crafting and executing growth strategies tailored to the technical industrial sector, including rail, agriculture, truck scale, and waste management sectors. This role demands a keen understanding of market dynamics, adept relationship-building skills, and a strategic mindset to drive revenue expansion using the PSCL solution set.
*Key Responsibilities:*
_Market Analysis_
* Conduct comprehensive market research to identify emerging opportunities and trends.
* Analyze competitor landscapes and industry benchmarks to inform strategic decisions.
_Business Strategy_
* Collaborate with senior management to define short and long-term business objectives.
* Identify new markets, product/service offerings, and partnership opportunities to drive growth.
_Customer Relationship Management_
* Cultivate and nurture strong relationships with key industry clients and stakeholders.
* Anticipate and address customer needs with tailored solutions aligned with PSCL products and services.
_Sales and Revenue Generation_
* Meet and exceed sales targets through innovative business development strategies.
* Execute contracts, and close deals with industrial clients.
* Monitor sales performance, providing actionable insights for continuous improvement.
_Cross-Functional Collaboration_
* Provide input on product/service enhancements based on market feedback.
* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of products/services to clients.
*What we are looking for:*
* 5+ years of relevant experience in industrial business-to-business sales experience with a proven sales record
* Ability to analyze complex data and make data-driven decisions
* Proven ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
* Proactive and results-oriented, with a track record of achieving and surpassing targets
* Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills crucial for selling integrated industrial solutions for managing business priorities
* Experience in identifying new market segments through proactive prospecting
* Experience in cold calling potential clients to introduce products/services and initiate meaningful conversations
* Proficiency in maintaining accurate and timely customer, pipeline, and forecast data and disciplined in capturing relevant information in CRM
* The ability and willingness to travel throughout Canada and the United States, as required - up to 50% of time will be spent travelling
* Bachelor?s degree: Business Management, Marketing, Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
*Preference will be given to candidates with:*
* Comprehensive understanding of cement, aggregate, rail, agriculture, scale technology and/or waste management sectors, providing expertise to anticipate market trends, identify opportunities, and tailor solutions to meet customer needs
* 1-2 years installing/supporting technical solutions
