Let your career take flight by joining our diverse and vibrant team at the leading edge of passenger aviation.</strong></span></span></p> <p><span><span>We are looking for a dynamic individual to join and mentor a team of developers responsible to recommend and implement solutions to HR business challenges through development of modern and user-friendly web applications used by all Air Canada employees around the world.</span></span></p> <p><span><span>As a member of the HR Digital Development team, you will work with our internal client groups on change initiatives and projects within the scope of the People, Culture and Communications branch.</span></span></p> <p><span><span><strong>Responsibilities: </strong></span></span></p> <ul> <li><span><span>Work with internal client groups to identify opportunities for improvement through development of web applications. Facilitate working sessions to formalize business requirements.</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Co-create systems / software or support current systems pertinent to HR services (learning and development, performance management)</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Responsible for design, coding, testing, and implementation of web solutions</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Guide junior developers with code reviews and coding best practices. </span></span></li> <li><span><span>Maintain overall team coding standards</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Be responsible for creating coding migration strategy.</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Maintain and enhance web solutions after implementation.</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Document technical and functional design.</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Employ best practices and established standards to ensure application is easy to use.</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Monitor system defects, flag those with a medium to high business impact and coordinate work-around solutions as appropriate with the business.</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Participate in weekly meetings with the internal service delivery team to track and prioritize work effort.</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Maintain security of internal access to HR data in accordance with Air Canada?s policies.</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Test strategies, plans and environment for stability and functionality</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Design and architect cloud-friendly applications using multiple cloud-based technologies</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Preparing and executing a strategy to migrate legacy applications to cloud-native and DevSecOps toolsets</span></span></li> </ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul> <li><span><span><span>Strong Desire to solve problems, learn and improve relentlessly<br></span></span></span></li> <li><span><span><span>Experience with C#, ASP.NET, MS SQL and .Net Core is required<br></span></span></span></li> <li><span><span><span>Excellent understanding of object-oriented programming, relational database concepts, and coding standards.<br></span></span></span></li> <li><span><span><span>Proficiency in writing clean code, Data structures, Design patterns and SOLID principles<br></span></span></span></li> <li><span><span><span>Proficiency in data modeling and API design.<br></span></span></span></li> <li><span><span><span>Bachelor?s Degree in related field or equivalent work experience.<br></span></span></span></li> <li><span><span><span>Advanced understanding of coding frameworks like MVC.<br></span></span></span></li> <li><span><span><span>Experience working with application servers, administering, and configuring them. Preferably IIS. <br></span></span></span></li> <li><span><span><span>Experience with Responsive Web Design techniques<br></span></span></span></li> <li><span><span><span>Experience with continuous integration.<br></span></span></span>
