Let your career take flight by joining our diverse and vibrant team at the leading edge of passenger aviation.</strong></span></span></p> <p><span><span>We are looking for a dynamic individual to join and mentor a team of developers responsible to recommend and implement solutions to HR business challenges through development of modern and user-friendly web applications used by all Air Canada employees around the world.</span></span><br><span><span>As a member of the HR Digital Development team, you will work with our internal client groups on change initiatives and projects within the scope of the People, Culture and Communications branch.</span></span></p> <p><span><span><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></span></span></p> <ul> <li><span><span>Drive the evolution of our architecture, codebase, and technical practices, ensuring they align with emerging industry trends and business objectives.</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Lead and take ownership of high-impact technical projects, making critical architectural and design decisions that align with both strategic business goals and the broader technical ecosystem.</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Mentor and support Junior and Senior developers, cultivating a culture of continuous improvement, inclusivity, and software development excellence.</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Champion best practices in software development and ensure the team's work aligns with organizational and technical goals.</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Forge and sustain strong partnerships across various business units, aligning technical solutions with strategic goals.</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Demonstrate unwavering commitment to being an excellent team player </span></span></li> <li><span><span>Contributes to team product planning to bridge the gap between technology and product effectiveness.</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Provide expertise for the necessary infrastructure to maintain product functionality, whether through technical solutions or improvements to enhance product performance and user experience.</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Driving advancement of internal systems by monitoring technology, industry, and market trends, and determining their potential impact on technology environment.</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Contributes toSetting high standards and ensuring code quality through team reviews .</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Oversee HR applications access controls and identity governance strategies.</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Design and architect cloud-friendly applications using multiple cloud-based technologies</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Develop and execute strategies for migrating legacy applications to cloud-native platforms. Support the transition to DevSecOps practices, ensuring secure, automated, and efficient deployment pipelines</span></span></li> </ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul> <li><span><span>10+ years of experience in software development<br></span></span></li> <li><span><span>3+ years of experience in leading and mentoring development teams<br></span></span></li> <li><span><span>5+ years of experience in C#, MS SQL and .Net technologies<br></span></span></li> <li><span><span>Excellent understanding of object-oriented programming, relational database concepts, and coding standards.<br></span></span></li> <li><span><span>Proficiency in Domain Driven Design (DDD), CLEAN architecture and SOLID principles<br></span></span></li> <li><span><span>Proficiency in data modeling and API best practices.<br></span></span></li> <li><span><span>BSc/MSc in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, related field or relevant work experience<br></span></span></li> <li><span><span>Solid grasp of Git flows, and experience with Github actions<br></span></span></li> <li><span><sp- LocationDorval, QC
