Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Work setting: Medical clinic. Tasks: Clean and maintain equipment. Document patient rehabilitation progress. Process files and paperwork. Schedule and confirm appointments. Take earmold impressions and fit and adjust hearing instruments. Take patients' general medical and ophthalmic history. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure. Repetitive tasks. Attention to detail.
