Westpro has an immediate opening for a *WELDER *to join our production team! *RESPONSIBILITIES:* · Minimum 5 years experience in a large metal fabrication, custom welding environment (high mix). · Weld components using Flux Core Arc Welding and other methods. · Cut work pieces, operate oxy-acetylene plate bevellers and metal grinding as required. · Support lay out, light fitting and welding for custom fabrications including tanks, frames, drums, structural steel beams. · Perform dimensional inspections using various measuring devices including verniers, measuring tapes, micrometers. · Good working knowledge of EHS practices including safe workplace conduct, safe material handling procedures, safe operation of machinery, personal protective equipment. · Material handling. · Strong work ethic. · Must be able to work both independently and as part of a team. · Other duties as assigned. *EDUCATION:* · AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (Required) *CREDENTIALS:* · Canadian Welding Bureau Certification · WHMIS Certification · Forklift Certification *ASSETS:* · Metal Fabricator Red Seal Endorsement · Welder Red Seal Endorsement · First Aid Certification · CPR Certification *WELDING PROCESSES:* · FCAW (Flux Core), SMAW (stick), GMAW (MIG) and GTAW (TIG) *WELDING POSITIONS:* · Flat, Horizontal, Vertical, Overhead *MATERIALS:* · Structural steel and plate materials · Stainless Steel *SPECIFIC SKILLS:* · Solid understanding of engineering drawings and welding specifications. · Operate semi-automatic welding equipment. · Operate forklifts, hoists and other lifting devices. *SCHEDULE:* Monday to Friday 7:00 AM ? 3:30 PM *LOCATION:* 33 Kerr Crescent, Puslinch, ON Job Type: Full-time Pay: $28.00-$32.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40 per week Additional pay: * Overtime pay Benefits: * Extended health care Schedule: * Monday to Friday Ability to commute/relocate: * Puslinch, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred) Education: * AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred) Experience: * Welding: 5 years (preferred) * Stainless Steel Welding: 5 years (preferred) Licence/Certification: * CWB (preferred) * Forklift Licence (preferred) Work Location: In person
