Position #: V47518 Expected Start Date: January 15, 2025 Union: HSAS Facility: Urgent Care Centre City/Town: Regina Department: First Nations Metis Health Services Type: Full-time regular FTE: 1 Shift Information: Days, Weekends, Stats Hours of Work: 8 hour shifts Relief: No Float: No Field Hours: No Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Health Educator - Staff $36.518 to $44.655 Travel Required: NoHuman Resources Exemption: NoJob SummaryReporting to the Team Lead/Manager, the Health Educator plays a crucial role in the development of health care plans and ensures the inclusion of social, psychological, emotional and physical health of First Nations and Metis patients. The Educator will provide individuals, families, and groups with the psychosocial support needed to cope with chronic, acute, or terminal illnesses. Services include: advising family members, providing patient education and support, and making referrals to appropriate services. The Educator may also provide care; case management or interventions designed to promote health, support cultural/traditional practices, and address barriers to access healthcare.Education A recognized health degree (Social Work, Registered Nursing, M.A. Psychology) and registration with appropriate licensing body. Experience Preference will be given to candidates who are fluent in Indigenous languages common to the region. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Demonstrated advanced clinical skills, knowledge, and abilities required for competent case management practice. Demonstrated leadership ability, displaying professional maturity and leadership in clinical practice.
