Job Overview:
We are looking to add a dedicated and detail-oriented pharmacist to join our team. As a pharmacy team member, you will be working in a dynamic environment that focuses on providing optimal health related services to our valued patients. Our pharmacists are responsible for ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for our patients. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to provide optimal continuity of care; including but not limited to Minor Ailment prescribing, OTC counseling, and Professional Services such as Professional Opinions and Medication Checks.
Availability (initial):
Monday: 10am-5pm
Friday: 10am - 5pm
Saturday: 10am - 2pm
Sunday: 10am - 2 pm
Responsibilities:
- Review and interpret prescriptions to ensure accuracy and appropriateness
- Dispense medications accurately and efficiently
- Provide medication counseling to patients on proper usage, dosage, and potential side effects
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans
- Monitor patient medication therapy for effectiveness and safety
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Stay updated on new medications, drug interactions, and pharmaceutical guidelines
- Oversee pharmacy technicians and support staff
Requirements:
- Valid Pharmacist license [ONTARIO]
- Bachelor's or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution
- Licensure by the OCP (Ontario College Of Pharmacists)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and pharmaceutical calculations
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
Skills:
- Medication administration including management of Opioid Use Disorders
- Up to date Injection and CPR training
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Proficiency in medical terminology
