Full time *Registered Dental Assistant* needed in SE Calgary. Orthodontics module preferred not compulsory. We are looking for someone to join our team starting as soon as possible, we are looking to fill a floater position, Ideally looking for a dental assistant but to do sterilization part time as well as assisting. New graduates welcome to apply. Experience preferred but not compulsory. Hours: Monday: 9:30am - 5:00pm Tuesday: 9:30am - 5:00pm Wednesday: 7:00pm - 7:00pm Thursday: 12:00pm - 7:00pm Friday: 9:30am - 5:00pm One Saturday a month 9:30am - 4:00pm Kindly submit resume's to our email info@foothillsdentistry.ca Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will work closely with the dentist to provide quality dental care to our patients. Your role will involve assisting with various dental procedures, maintaining patient records, and ensuring a comfortable and efficient dental experience. Responsibilities: - Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available - Assist the dentist during dental procedures by handing them instruments, operating suction devices, and providing patient support - Take and develop dental x-rays as directed by the dentist - Prepare materials for impressions and restorations - Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions - Maintain accurate patient records and update medical histories as needed - Schedule appointments and manage patient flow in the office - Perform basic administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, filing documents, and managing inventory -sterilization. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour Expected hours: 30 ? 40 per week Benefits: * Dental care * Extended health care * On-site parking Schedule: * Evening shift * Monday to Friday * Weekends as needed Experience: * Dental Assisting: 1 year (preferred) Licence/Certification: * Certified Dental Assistant (preferred) Work Location: In person
