Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Outdoors. At heights. Confined spaces. Noisy. Work setting: Shopwork. Maintenance. Repair and maintenance services. Troubleshooting/diagnostic. Landfill. Tasks: Inspect operation of instruments and systems. Read blueprints to determine work requirements . Repair and adjust system components. Complete test and maintenance reports. Remove and replace defective parts. Calibrate components and instruments. Logical approach for troubleshooting. Perform scheduled preventive maintenance work. Repair and maintain equipment. Repair or replace defective machinery parts. Repair or replace defective or worn-out parts and components using hand, power or specially designed tools. Perform preventive maintenance. Monitor equipment to detect wear and damage. Monitor outside process equipment. Conduct preventive maintenance programs. Troubleshoot problems related to equipment. Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records. Gas and liquid chromatographs. Computer and technology knowledge: MS Excel. MS Word. Applied meteorology or biometeorology: Energy. Instrument experience: Hydraulic. Mechanical.
