Position #: 112513 Expected Start Date: January 06, 2025 Union: HSAS Facility: Royal University Hospital City/Town: Saskatoon Department: Social Work Type: Full-time temporary Expected Up to Date: December 09, 2025 FTE: 1 Hours of Work: 14 shifts of 8 hours per 3 weeks Relief: No Float: No Field Hours: No Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Social Worker - BSW $35.137 to $42.966 Travel Required: No Job Description: This Social Work position will work with acute care patients/families, in the hospital setting. This position works with an Interdisciplinary team of professionals to support patients and the families, as they navigate the healthcare system. Human Resources Exemption: No Experience- Preference will be given to candidates with medical social work experienceEducation- Bachelor of Social Work (BSW)Memberships- Registered/eligible with the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers (SASW)Knowledge and Abilities- Ability to advocate on behalf of clients, caregivers /extended family members.- Knowledge in the SHA, community resources and applicable programming- Skilled in psycho-social assessment and the ability to work with individuals- Ability to work independentlyOther Information- HSAS seniority in the SHA will be considered under the selection criteria- Preference to HSAS members as per the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement- Registered/eligible with the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers (SASW) About US The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is the largest employer in Saskatchewan, employing more than 45,000 staff in a dynamic healthcare environment.
