*Role Description*
We are looking for a *Real Estate Paralegal* for a full-time, hybrid role (minimum 2 days in office) in *Calgary, Alberta*. This position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-volume office handling a wide range of real estate transactions. *Responsibilities:*
* Manage residential real estate transactions from start to finish, including purchases (resale and new builds), sales, refinances, and mortgage transactions for institutional and private lenders.
* Draft and review legal documents, arrange title insurance, and conduct due diligence.
* Use *Unity and other proprietary software* to prepare and manage real estate documents.
* Facilitate both *in-person and virtual signing appointments*, ensuring all legal and document requirements are met.
* Coordinate with clients, realtors, bankers, and mortgage brokers to ensure smooth transaction closings.
* Prepare accounting packages, with a focus on handling *payouts* and *debt consolidations*.
* Assist with the day-of-closing procedures and reporting, including delivering documents to *Land Titles* and other third parties.
* Provide administrative support to the Calgary office.
*Experience and Qualifications Required:*
* *Proven experience with Alberta real estate transactions*, including RPRs, Land Titles, and lender representation.
* Familiarity with *Protocol, Conventional, and title insurance closings* for resale, new home purchases, and new condo purchases.
* Strong knowledge of *mortgage instructions* from major lenders and private lenders.
* Experience with *Unity software* and *FCT's MMS portal*.
* Ability to manage both *virtual and in-person signings* efficiently.
* Technical proficiency, including experience with *Google Workspace* (Gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Meet) and *Microsoft Office*.
* *Attention to detail* is critical, especially for private financing and *complex debt consolidation* transactions.
* Ability to handle multiple files in a busy office environment with high expectations for accuracy and timeliness.
* *Strong communication skills* and a team-oriented mindset.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $51,110.49-$87,642.59 per year
