Job details
Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work setting: On-site customer service. Various locations. Tasks: Adjust, repair or replace electrical system parts. Adjust, repair or replace mechanical system parts. Diagnose and isolate faults on engines. Document your inspection and tests made on engines. Review work orders . Perform scheduled maintenance and service. Advise customers on work performed and condition of equipment. Repair and rebuild hoisting mechanism and other mechanical systems on industrial trucks and forklifts. Test and adjust repaired equipment for proper performance. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate. Forklift Operator Certification. Equipment and machinery experience: Industrial lift trucks and fork-lifts. Power tools. Area of specialization: Forklift. Security and safety: Driver's validity licence check. Driving record check (abstract). Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Manual dexterity. Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Fast-paced environment. Standing for extended periods. Work under pressure. Own tools/equipment: Tools. Steel-toed safety boots. Personal suitability: Accurate. Client focus. Organized. Efficient interpersonal skills. Judgement. Reliability. Resourcefulness.
