*Position Details: *The role of the line cook/prep cook is an integral part of the overall success of the food service at Anderson?s Lodge.
The responsibilities are as follows:
1. Assist the Chef in executing existing menu for our American Plan fishing guests and regular restaurant service, following recipes and presentation specification.
2. Assist in preparing meals from scratch, meeting dietary requirements where required
3. Clean and maintain various areas of the kitchen as per cleaning lists
4. Effective communication is required to ensure kitchen inventories are at par levels and management has the timing required to order product (living in a semi-remote area orders are place 2 times per week and timing is critical)
5. Work directly with Lodge owners/management to ensure a high quality and consistency for complete guest satisfaction
6. Must work as member of the team and have mutual respect for all staff, vendors and management
7. Comply with nutrition, foods preparation standards, health and safety requirements.
8. Operate standard kitchen equipment safety and efficiently
9. Clean and maintain station in practicing good safety and sanitation
10. Being mindful of food costs and food waste
11. Assist Chef with his dishes throughout evening as well as servers/bartenders.
*Schedule Details*: Service hours listed are approximate and not restricted to
Regular menu prep and dinner service approximately 1:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. ? 6 days per week. The schedule will be based on the ability to properly execute daily schedules. Includes Breakfast coverage 2 days a week.
*Qualifications:*
Proven experience with a minimum of 2 years direct experience
The ability to work independently, part of a team and under pressure
Must be able to organize work under strict time constraints
Must have a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness
Flexible
Strong communication and leadership skills
Credentials in health and safety training an asset
Familiar with industry regulations
Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 5 months
Pay: $3,840.00 per month
