Responsibilities
Tasks

Oversee the activities of teachers and support staff

Direct or supervise the recruitment, training, evaluation and promotion of teachers

Evaluate the scope and sequence of the curriculum

Make recommendations concerning the annual operating budget of a school district

Co-ordinate teaching activities

Direct and co-ordinate school maintenance

Organize and maintain procedures for the keeping of records

Prepare and administer institution or program budget

Review programs to ensure conformance to school board or provincial standards
