Position #: 205853 Expected Start Date: December 30, 2024 Union: SUN Facility: Meadow Lake Primary Health Care Centre City/Town: Meadow Lake Department: Primary Care Site - PHC Meadow Lake Professional Staff Type: Full-time regular FTE: 1 Hours of Work: 28 shifts of 8 hours per 6 weeks Relief: No Float: No Field Hours: Yes Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Nurse Practitioner $52.590 to $62.910 Travel Required: Yes Job Description: Advanced practice nurse with knowledge and skills gained through additional education and experience. Nurse blends an in-depth knowledge of nursing with the legal authority and autonomy to order diagnostic tests, prescribe pharmaceuticals and perform specific procedures in the management and treatment of common acute illnesses and stable chronic conditions patients. Position practices within a framework of evidence-based primary care, holism, health promotion, and disease and injury prevention. Practice involves building partnerships with individuals, families, and communities. This includes community needs assessments; supporting inter-professional collaboration and participating in continuous improvements through evaluative processes/projects. provides clinical assessment and treatment strategies that reflect in-depth knowledge of the care populations.
