*Job Overview* We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating project costs, preparing estimates, and ensuring that projects are completed within budget. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes and the ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. *Duties* * Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates for construction projects. * Utilize construction estimating software such as HeavyBid, Bluebeam and Xactimate to create accurate and detailed estimates. * Collaborate with project managers and other team members to gather necessary information for pricing and budgeting. * Negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors to secure the best possible rates for materials and services. * Monitor project budgets and provide regular updates on cost variances throughout the project duration. * Conduct site visits to assess project conditions and gather data that may impact estimating accuracy. * Prepare detailed reports that outline estimated costs, including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead expenses. *Skills* * Proficiency in construction estimating software, particularly HeavyBid and Bluebeam. * Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards. * Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to build relationships with vendors and subcontractors. * Exceptional analytical skills to evaluate complex data sets and make informed decisions. * Effective project management skills to oversee multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. * Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for clear interaction with clients, contractors, and team members.
