*Overview* We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will work in a dynamic environment, providing high-quality speech therapy services to patients of all ages. This role involves assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and communication disorders in various settings, including hospitals and acute care facilities. The Speech Therapist will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs. *Responsibilities* * Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify speech and language disorders. * Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and patient goals. * Implement therapeutic interventions aimed at improving communication skills. * Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary. * Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment options and strategies. * Maintain accurate documentation of patient evaluations, progress notes, and treatment outcomes. * Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. * Stay updated on best practices in speech therapy and participate in ongoing professional development. *Skills* * Strong background in patient care, particularly in hospital or acute care settings. * Proficient in case management techniques to effectively coordinate patient care. * Experience working with pediatric populations is highly desirable. * Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to speech therapy practices. * Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with patients, families, and colleagues. * Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment. * Compassionate approach towards patient interactions, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
