Under the direction of the Urban or Rural Primary Health Care Manager, the Nurse Practitioner will provide primary health care services to the community. The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care for clients in the community both independently and collaboratively with a physician, depending upon the complexity of client needs. This includes: health promotion and protection; first line treatment and emergency services; provision of supportive counselling and instruction in management of medical conditions; disease and injury prevention; initiating and conducting community needs assessments and participating in evaluative projects; and collaboration with and referral to other health care professionals.Education- Graduate from an approved School of Nursing.- Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing is desired.- Certification in Primary Care Nurse Practitioner or equivalent program is required.- Possession of, and ability to maintain, current registration as RN (NP) with College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS).- Current BCLS certification.Experience- Minimum of three (3) years experience as a Registered Nurse in primary care, public health or acute care.- Minimum of one (1) year experience ...For more information on this job, please visit the employer's website.- LocationRegina, SK
