We are currently seeking a full time medical receptionist with ophthalmology/optometry experience to join our dynamic team at our upcoming new location in Oakville. The successful candidate will be responsible for offering quality customer service by applying the techniques associated with their area of focus and ensure that business guidelines and a high level of patient care is always maintained. Organization, excellent communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure, are among the qualities needed for this fast paced working environment. This position will require a flexible schedule (early morning starts, late afternoons).
The duties associated with this position are as follows, but not limited to; patient registration, appointment scheduling, answering telephones, scanning documents and general administrative duties.
Education: Post Secondary education in ophthalmology/healthcare industry, medical administrative roles.
Professional Experience: 1-2 years practical experience within a medical/ophthalmology (preferred) office environment. Computer knowledge: word,excel, EMR.
Transportation required for initial training at our main office (Shops at Don Mills, Don Mills & Lawrence)
