If this sounds like a good fit for you, Please send your email to admin@svvh.ca *Responsibilities* * Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures. * Perform laboratory tests, including blood work and urinalysis, to aid in diagnosis. * Administer medications and vaccinations as prescribed by the veterinarian. * Monitor and record vital signs of animals during treatment and recovery. * Maintain accurate medical records for each patient. * Provide education to pet owners regarding animal care and health maintenance. * Ensure cleanliness and sterilization of surgical instruments and examination rooms. * Assist with the handling and restraint of animals during procedures. * Participate in inventory management, including ordering supplies as needed. *Qualifications* * Certification or degree in Veterinary Technology from an accredited program is preferred. * Previous experience as a Veterinary Technician or in a similar role is advantageous. * Strong laboratory skills, including familiarity with diagnostic equipment and procedures. * Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members. * Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays if required. * Compassionate attitude towards animals and their owners, with a commitment to providing exceptional care.
