Position Scope: Responsible to the Director of Resident Care and Assistant Director of Resident Care, the scheduler will play an integral part to the Mountain Lea Lodge team. Strong personable skills along with attention to detail are required. Duties will be performed in accordance with the Mission, Vision, Values, Standards, Policies and Procedures of Mountains and Meadows Care Group. MMCG is committed to participant safety, continued quality improvement, and advancing the delivery of safe and trusted health services.Responsibilities: ? Field questions from staff, families, participants and visitors as needed? Fill time off requests? Keep active schedules and Master Schedule up to date on SSC? Review timecards for management to approve for payroll? Report all attendance/availability concerns to the appropriate manager? Ensure requests for time off forms are properly completed and the staff member has the requested amount of time available.? Ensure requests are approved by appropriate manager? Ensure there is adequate staff to cover time off requests? Ensure all special need shifts (one on one, Security) or one-time needs are accounted for and scheduled? Ensure all policies, directives, guidelines and the union contract are adhered too? Filing and related tasks? Other duties as assignedSkills:? Problem solving and critical thinking ? Creativity in designing processes to meet scheduling needs? Very thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office? Ability to troubleshoot? Effective verbal and written communication skills and organizational skills? Good judgement and the ability to make decisions quickly, especially in stressful situations? Patience, understanding and a caring attitude? Flexibility, humor and enthusiasm? The ability to lead and work cooperatively with others? Effective interpersonal skills? The ability to work independently or as part of a team? Must demonstrate good judgement and patience working with others? Must be able to organize and complete the required duties with minimal supervision? Understands confidentiality and applies this knowledge on a continual basisQualifications:? Experience in an office setting? Working knowledge of excel? Good communication skills ? Must always be pleasant and courteous? Organizational skills and flexibility are essential? Ability to prioritize workThe following will be considered assets:? Previous experience within the Long-Term Care / Health Care Administration? Scheduling experienceAdditional Information:?
