Christian & Co. is a company based in Bolton, dedicated to providing exceptional services to our clients. We are seeking a skilled and reliable Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong attention to detail and a passion for managing financial records accurately and efficiently.
*Job Description:*
As a Bookkeeper at Christian & Co., you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with Canadian tax laws and financial regulations. You will manage day-to-day accounting operations, including but not limited to:
* Recording all financial transactions and ensuring proper documentation
* Preparing and reviewing bank reconciliations
* Managing accounts payable and receivable
* Generating financial statements (monthly, quarterly, annual reports)
* Assisting with payroll processing
* Maintaining and filing tax returns (HST/GST, etc.)
* Preparing year-end reports
* Communicating with clients regarding financial matters
* Ensuring compliance with corporate policies, tax rules, and accounting standards
*Qualifications:*
* Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role
* Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and tax regulations in Canada
* Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks)
* Strong understanding of Microsoft Excel and other office tools
* Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
* Ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines effectively
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
*Additional Skills (Preferred):*
* Familiarity with Canadian payroll systems and tax reporting
